Erica D. Price, CPA, CVA, CFE
Manager
With over decade of experience in public accounting, Erica is a seasoned manager at Paradigm Forensics, specializing in valuation and forensic accounting. She began her career in audit and her background in attest services provides a strong foundation for her current area of expertise, particularly fraud investigations.
Erica performs business valuations for a wide variety of purposes, including for estate taxes and in litigation settings. By understanding her clients’ specific needs, she ensures they receive valuation services tailored to their situation. Erica is also proficient in managing large teams and her meticulous approach to diving into detailed financial records—such as general ledgers and account statements—produces through and insightful results.
In a litigation setting, she provides comprehensive support across a wide range of matters, including asset and investment tracing analyses and personal and commercial damage calculations. She leverages her attention to detail and her expertise in Excel across all facets of an engagement, to produce the highest quality results for her clients. Her report writing skills are well-suited for both valuation and litigation contexts.
Additionally, Erica is trained to serve as a financial neutral in the Collaborative Divorce Process. This out-of-court alternative enlists a team of dedicated professionals to support clients through divorce, empowering them with control over the process and outcome.
Erica also specializes in COVID-Relief programs, particularly the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) and Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). As the PPP subject matter expert of her then-firm’s COVID-19 Task Force, she initially served as an internal resource. This role quickly expanded to providing PPP consulting services, including PPP forgiveness assistance and ERC calculation and PPP interplay. Although these programs are largely over, her expertise remains valuable as a result of the extended statute of limitations and ongoing scrutiny by government authorities. She can provide subject matter expertise on PPP matters in a consulting or expert witness testimony capacity. She has taught courses focusing on PPP enforcement actions and best practices for the Maryland State Bar Association and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).
Erica obtained her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Centenary University (formerly Centenary College). She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by the state of Maryland. To further support her career in valuation and forensic accounting, she has earned Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credentials.
